Genesis Energy - Self-Service Saver Plan Terms and Conditions (Electricity)

1. To be eligible for Self-Service Saver Plan("Offer"), you must :

(a) be a new Genesis Energy residential electricity customer (or an existing residential Genesis Energy customer whose electricity supply is with a different energy retailer), excluding pre-paid customer;

(b) be in the following electricity networks: Vector, United Networks (Waitemata), Counties Power, PowerCo A, PowerCo B, PowerCo Tauranga, PowerCo Valley, WEL (Waikato), Wellington, Alpine Energy, The Power Company, and Invercargill;

(c) be on a standard single-phase residential connection and are not on an embedded network;

(d) not be on 2 to 8kVa load groups for your electricity supply;

(e) switch your electricity supply to Genesis Energy from 30 November 2014 and sign up to:

  • a 12-month fixed term electricity plan ("Plan"), which will commence from the start date of electricity supply as shown on your Genesis Energy bill
  • pay your energy bills by recurring variable direct debit from your bank account; and;
  • receive by email your energy bills (as a pdf attachment) and other promotional communications.

If it is subsequently found that you do not (or no longer) meet the above eligibility criteria or if you move house, Genesis Energy may remove you from the Offer.  In those circumstances, subject to meeting Genesis Energy's acceptance criteria, you may be offered Genesis Energy's standard pricing for your network, pricing plan and meter type on its standard terms and conditions of energy supply.

2. The Offer includes:

  • Fixed promotional electricity prices (the per unit variable charge and daily fixed charge) during the 12-month term of the Plan; and
  • 10% prompt payment discount when you pay your bill in full via variable direct debit on or before the due date on your bill.
