The Community Liaison Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of our Ngā Ara Creating Pathways community strategy within Genesis’ four generation-site communities. We have a goal of playing an active role in our local communities and the Community Liaison Manager is responsible for driving this - creating meaningful engagement opportunities between our site teams and the community.

As Community Liaison Manager, you will:

  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Seek out and create partnerships with external organisations to benefit our local communities and identify opportunities where site teams can participate
  • Create opportunities for young people to engage with the energy sector
  • Identify meaningful ways in which we can support our local communities

    The Community Liaison Manager role entails travel across Aotearoa to our generation schemes to engage our site teams and our local communities. This role could see you at hui on-site, at schools, marae and community centres.

    This role requires use of Microsoft Teams to have meetings and phone calls. You could find yourself presenting PowerPoints and facilitate workshops with rangatahi.


    This role requires regular business attire but when visiting our power schemes, the general PPE requirements apply (full covered shoes, long pants).
