Offer details

  1. To be eligible for the Home Move 12 Month Plan ("Offer"):
    1. you must be an existing Genesis Energy residential electricity customer, excluding a pre-paid customer or a customer on an existing fixed-term electricity plan, moving home; and
       
    2. your new home must be on a standard single-phase residential connection and not be on an embedded network; and
       
    3. you must process your home move through the Genesis Energy Home Move Channel website and sign up to a 12 month fixed term electricity plan ("Plan"), which will commence from the start date of your electricity supply as shown on your Genesis Energy bill at your new home.

      If it is subsequently found that you do not meet the above eligibility criteria or if you move house during the term of your Plan, Genesis Energy may remove you from the Offer. In those circumstances, subject to meeting Genesis Energy's acceptance criteria, you may be offered Genesis Energy's standard pricing for your network, pricing plan and meter type on its standard terms and conditions of energy supply.
       
  2. The Offer includes fixed electricity prices (the per unit variable charge and daily fixed charge) during the 12 month term of the Plan, which will commence from the start date of your electricity supply as shown on your Genesis Energy bill at your new home;
     

    Exclusions & Early Termination

  3. If you switch your electricity supply to a different energy retailer during the term of the Plan or otherwise stop getting your energy supply from Genesis Energy prior to the expiry of the plan, Genesis Energy may charge you an early cancellation fee of $150 (incl GST).
     
  4. Fixed electricity prices do not apply:
    1. To Genesis Energy's special fees and charges;
       
    2. If any information you gave us is incorrect (including but not limited to your meter type );
       
    3. If any information relating to your meter type is incorrect; or
       
    4. If your meter type changes.

       
    Renewal
     
  5. At least 30 days before the expiry of the term of your current plan, Genesis Energy may give you written renewal notice of your new plan, setting out the new prices and any other changes to the terms and conditions, including the length of the term.
     
  6. You may choose not to renew the plan by contacting Genesis Energy before the expiry of your current plan. Otherwise, the plan is deemed to be renewed on the new terms, and will commence on the expiry of your current plan.
     
  7. If Genesis Energy does not provide a renewal notice to you, or if you contact Genesis Energy to opt out from renewing your plan, your current plan will expire and you will be put onto Genesis Energy's standard pricing.
     
  8. In the event you do not opt out before the expiry of your current plan but subsequently would like to, Genesis Energy will consider the circumstances and at its discretion waive the cancellation fee. Circumstances where Genesis Energy may waive the cancellation fee include where the renewal notice was not received by you, or where it was not reasonably practical for you to respond before the expiry of your current plan.

  10. This Offer is not available in conjunction with any other offer from Genesis Energy.
