Keeping safe during your Power Shout

While we do encourage you to make the most of your Power Shout, please remember to use power responsibly.

  • Make use of the timer or thermostat features on heaters.
  • Make sure that heaters are attended at all times.
  • Ensure that the appliances you are using are not aging or faulty, or have worn electrical cables.
  • Keep appliances with chords away from water.
  • Ensure that you are using appliances in the way that they were intended to be used.
  • Make sure that you’re not overloading too many appliances into one outlet.
