Genesis to move to Auckland’s innovation hub in October 2020
Genesis today announced it will be moving its Auckland office to 155 Fanshawe Street, in Auckland’s innovation hub, Wynyard Quarter.
The 6 Green Star rated office building is currently under construction by Mansons TCLM, and boasts world class facilities, superior transport options, and new ways to network and collaborate with customers and business partners.
"We are excited to make the move to Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter and to take on the role of the site’s energy manager. This will enable us to better showcase our market leading energy solutions to customers first-hand and demonstrate best practice energy management for New Zealand businesses. I am also proud that the new site aligns to Genesis’ wider sustainability goals. It is being built to the highest quality energy efficiency standards, recycles rainwater, utilises solar power and onsite battery storage and state of the art heating and cooling systems," Marc England, CEO Genesis.
In August Genesis took a 40% stake in car sharing business Yoogo Share – already established in Christchurch, the business is soon to be rebranded before its launch into Auckland.
"This central location presents a great opportunity to weave car sharing transport options throughout our operations and push the future of sustainable mobility. Car sharing is an innovative and cost-effective way for businesses to reduce the emissions associated with fleet management," says England.
The move gives Genesis a visible presence in two locations in the Auckland waterfront, also powering the Emirates Team New Zealand’s base. This sees Genesis providing energy solutions to the team as they prepare to defend the America’s Cup in 2021.
"The team are very excited to be delivering a new 6 green star office for Genesis. We are proud that out of all the options open to Genesis they elected to proceed with us at 155 Fanshawe Street," Culum Manson, Director Mansons TCLM.
