Genesis has announced its customer’s electricity bills will reduce commencing 1 April when it passes through up to $50m in annual lines savings.

Genesis Executive General Manager, Retail Markets, James Magill says the company welcomes the opportunity to reduce electricity bills for its customers. "Distribution costs form a major part of the electricity bill and we’re delighted to be able to deliver these savings direct to our customers just in time for winter. We’ll be in touch with our customers to let them know what this means for them."

Genesis is the first electricity company to commit to passing these savings through to consumers which will effectively reduce customers electricity bills by 3-4%.
