Ngā Ara Creating Pathways
Inspiring young people is integral to New Zealand’s low-carbon future.
Inspiring future energy innovators
Genesis is privileged to operate power schemes in some of the most special locations across Aotearoa.
We’ve developed the Ngā Ara Creating Pathways programme to create transformational education, training and employment opportunities to prepare young people in our local communities for the future of work.
Underpinned by best-practice research and evidence for developing a pipeline of talent, the programme focusses on attracting, nurturing and engaging diverse rangatahi in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) education, study and career pathways.

Why STEM? | Hei aha a STEM?
STEM education is hugely important for rangatahi, who will enter a workforce in which nearly all jobs will require some knowledge of STEM subjects. They include many roles in the energy sector, where skills in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths are essential. Gaining knowledge in STEM will give young people choices and scope in their future careers.
