Curtain Bank

The Curtain Bank is a joint community initiative between Genesis Energy and the Huntly Energy Efficiency Trust that will take in donations of curtains and then re-size and re-line them for distribution to households in need in the Huntly area.

The Curtain Bank is looking for good quality curtains or curtain fabric that is being replaced and otherwise thrown away.

Genesis Energy is proud to be the sole and exclusive sponsor of the Curtain Bank as it is a way we can assist households in Huntly to save money on their energy bills and to create warmer, healthier, more private homes. Find out more

Rescue Helicopter: Palmerston North and Taupo

Genesis Energy is proud to sponsor The Square Trust Rescue Helicopter in Palmerston North and the Youthtown Rescue Helicopter in Taupo.

Rescue Helicopter is run by the Philips Search and Rescue Trust, a legacy to mark a light aircraft accident in which two Philips personnel lost their lives. The Trust was started as a small part-time operation based in Taupo which has now grown to serve five major regions.

We are delighted to receive thank you letters from people that have been cared for while in transport in the helicopters - a true testament to how important the Trust is.

Genesis Energy Recreation Centre - Masterton

The Genesis Energy Recreation Centre is the redevelopment of the Masterton War Memorial Stadium and pool complex. The Centre has a health and fitness centre, leisure pool, recreation programmes for all ages and an indoor seven lane pool.

Genesis Energy Huntly Aquatic Centre

The Genesis Energy Huntly Aquatic Centre officially opened in 2004. The Centre has a 25-metre pool, 6-metre learners relaxation pool, children’s pool and grandstand.

TelstraClear Pacific

The TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre officially opened in 2005 bringing together art, culture, leisure and business. It provides a unique venue for Manukau City and Auckland.

Situated within the events centre is the Genesis Energy theatre, a space where the community can enjoy events and productions.

Waikato Stadium

We are pleased to sponsor the Genesis Energy Lounge at the Waikato Stadium.

The stadium is predominately used for rugby and football matches but can be used for musical concerts, conferences, product launches, weddings, team-building events, cultural and religious festivals and a variety of other sporting activities.

Turangi Community Health Centre

Genesis Energy is the major sponsor of the Turangi Community Health Centre which opened in 2008. The Health Centre is a one-stop-health-shop housing GPs, MedLab, diabetic and other clinics, public health nurses, elderly care, hearing assessments, medical emergencies, a naturopath, mental health services, and visiting medical specialists from Taupo and Rotorua.

Helensville District Health Trust

Genesis Energy has a strong interest in community healthcare and is proud to sponsor the Helensville District Health Trust which provides medical service to the Helensville community.

Wanganui Splash Centre - Genesis Energy Hydro Slide

Waitakere Trusts Stadium

Genesis Energy Function Room at Waitakere Trusts Stadium provides a valuable space for business functions and community group activities. The room overlooks the indoor stadium and outside over Douglas Track and Field.

Genesis Energy Turangi Aquatic Centre

The Genesis Energy Turangi Aquatic Centre officially opened in 2008 with a community fun day to celebrate. The Centre provides hours of enjoyment to the community where they can enjoy spending time with family and friends in the heated pools.

Expressions Arts and Entertainment Centre, Upper Hutt

The Genesis Energy Theatre is a 200 seat theatre which can also be converted into a seating area for weddings and meetings. The theatre is used for shows, meetings and exhibitions, and is a great space for the community.
