A: There is often a composite rate where one meter is used for both the hot water and for anytime power. - This system has a 24 hour supply of electricity for general use as well as controlled hot water.
- There is only one meter at the property with a relay that will be used to control the water.
- Please be aware not all meter types are available in all areas.

A: If your Genesis Energy account is overdue you will continue to earn Brownie Points, but you will be unable to transfer or redeem Brownie Points until Genesis Energy account is bought up to date.

A: • You will have to be in a location that will receive a mobile phone signal. • You cannot be a Time of Use customer with an existing meter. • Your gas meter will not be changed at the same time as your electricity meter - this will happen at a later date and we will be in touch with you at that time. • A Prepay meter cannot be changed to an Advanced Meter at this stage. • Gas only meters cannot be changed to an Advanced Meter at this stage.

A: If you feel your estimated reading is too high you can enter a current meter reading on the “Meter Readings” page of Your Account which will generate an instant bill based on your actual read. Current charges will be calculated from the meter read you entered. A “Total Amount Due” will also appear which may include an outstanding balance, fees and other transactions on your account. This is an effective way of comparing an estimated bill with your actual read to check if your bill is too high.

A: The main reason for receiving a series of estimated accounts is due to the meter reader not being able to gain access to the meter. We will schedule to read your meters on a regular basis and as long as we have access, we plan to read your meter(s) no less than 3 times a year. We will send you an invoice for payment on a monthly basis, unless you are in an area where we currently invoice customers every second month, in which case we will send you an invoice every second month until we notify you otherwise. If a charge contained in the invoice is based on Energy consumption, we will use either an actual or estimated meter reading. If your invoice is based on our estimate of your Energy consumption, you may still pay for the exact amount of Energy you have used by reading your own meter and advising us of your meter reading. We will send you a new invoice based on this meter reading (unless we believe it is not correct).
