We offer cumulative retirement savings subsidy, over and above the required Kiwisaver minimum employer contributions, dependent on employees contributing a matching amount.

For permanent employees, we provide a range of insurance covers including life, terminal illness and accident insurance cover, trauma benefit and income protection. With automatic cover up to certain acceptance levels.

Medical Cover

Permanent employees also receive Surgical Plan insurance or the choice of a capped medical insurance subsidy. There are a variety of options to choose from to suit your needs. Join within three months and you will get cover for pre-existing conditions.

All permanent and fixed term staff can take advantage of a special banking package through Westpac. Westpac offers Genesis Energy staff a range of banking discounts and benefits - from home loan interest rate discounts, and discounts on home, contents and vehicle insurance. Plus in your first year of employment there will be no annual account charges on your Westpac credit cards.

Leave

All permanent employees have access to sick and bereavement leave beyond legislative minimums.

Volunteer Day

This programme gives all our employees the opportunity to take one day a year to contribute something to the local community. You and your colleagues have the opportunity to get out into the local community, roll up your sleeves and get stuck in!
