Slopedown Wind Farm

Genesis Energy has recently purchased the Slopedown Wind Farm development from Wind Prospect CWP (NZ) Ltd.

The Slopedown site is located in Southland, approximately 15km east of Wyndham and 50km east of Invercargill. Genesis Energy has an agreement with the site’s landowner for the investigation and development of the wind farm.

Wind Prospect CWP (NZ) Ltd have been working on the project for a number of years, undertaking environmental and technical work required to seek resource consents for the wind farm development. Genesis Energy is currently undertaking an assessment of the work completed on the project with the intention of progressing the development in the forth-coming months.
