Environmental Mitigation at Waikaremoana

Genesis Energy has ongoing mitigation responsibilities in relation to the consented activities at the Waikaremoana Power Scheme. Genesis Energy’s Environmental Management Framework details the companies approach to environmental management including mitigation. The current environmental mitigation projects at the Waikaremoana Power Scheme are:

• Recreational Flows in the Waikaretaheke River (NZ Recreational Canoeing Association)
• Habitat enhancement, angler access and research (Fish and Game)
