Genesis Energy is aware of the transitional rules, supported their introduction and worked with Inland Revenue on their design in order to assist customers. Genesis Energy has applied the transitional rules in compliance with both the transitional rule law and accepted accounting and business practice. Genesis Energy obtained specific independent advice on the application of the GST transitional rules to its business and followed that advice.
