At Genesis Energy we are actively involved in helping communities. Whether it is through sponsorship, the Genesis Oncology Trust, educational programmes or environmental initiatives like the Whio Forever Project. With your help we are committed to helping make tomorrow a better place through the things we do today.

Our staff regularly get out into the community to help out in practical, useful ways.

Genesis Energy uses the London Benchmarking Group (LBG) framework for measuring, benchmarking and reporting the company’s community contributions and achievements.

Genesis Oncology Trust: Our role in the fight against cancer

The Genesis Oncology Trust is doing some fantastic work to support New Zealand based initiatives working to discover new and better ways to prevent, detect, diagnose and treat cancer and to provide professional development funding to cancer control professionals. Our customers are helping the Trust make a difference by donating on their monthly bill. Without this support the fight against cancer would be a lot harder. Find out more.

Employee Volunteering

The Employee Volunteering programme was launched in 2007 and every year each employee has the opportunity to take one day to help out in a team around the community.

Our staff regularly get out into the community to help out in practical, useful ways. We have participated in some very successful volunteering activities from tree planting in Huntly and Auckland to Blue Duck tagging and monitoring in the Central Plateau, maintenance of local schools, public attractions and fundraising for charitable organisations.
